Welcome to Field Notes
Welcome to Field Notes, a place where I share observations, insights, and experiences from time spent in the woods and on the water.
As both a guide and a wildlife biologist, I spend a lot of time outdoors studying wildlife, scouting habitat, and helping others learn the skills needed to hunt, fish, and experience the outdoors ethically and responsibly. Field Notes is where I will share some of the things I see and learn along the way.
Some entries will focus on hunting and fishing skills, while others will dive into wildlife biology, conservation topics, habitat management, and interesting observations from the field. I will also occasionally share updates about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, gear I’m testing, and projects connected to Tip of the Spear Outdoors.
The outdoors has given me a deep respect for wildlife, wild places, and the role hunters and conservationists play in protecting them. My hope is that Field Notes becomes a place where knowledge, curiosity, and appreciation for the natural world can be shared with others who care about the outdoors.
Thanks for following along.
